I’m confused of the thing i know nothing..I’m trying to think of the things i wanted to say…yet, i can’t think of anything..I don’t know where to start..keeping this would be a burden..but i guess I’m not ready. Or maybe, I’m not with myself right now..

Someday, I hope I would have the courage to say it!!!

          Roxas City —– a small yet peaceful city in the province of Capiz, Western Visayas. Crowned as the Seafood’s Capital of the Philippines, endowed with such blessing of rich marine treasures and delightful people, the City of Roxas remained a humble City of modern ambiance and relaxing environment. Embracing a simple way of living but a continuously growing city which could be evidently seen from its hospitable plaza —– the heart of the City where visitors are openly and kindly accepted to experience the beauty and enchantment of the City.  

          Starting from its historical house of worship, the Immaculate Conception Metropolitan Cathedral or the Roxas City Cathedral is a place where every Capizeño’s devotedly practice their Christian religious ceremonies to show their faithfulness and thanksgiving to the One who had been so grateful to the beholders of the place and who had made everything possible. The refreshing appearance of newly renovated and modernized church in sky blue image gives a unique ambiance and style resembling the color of the churchs’ name Immaculate Conception. Located at the center of the city, Roxas City Cathedral has been a witness of the history of the place since 1870-1877. Built by the sweat and blood of Capizeño’s who were victims of forced labor.

          Adjacent to the historical church laid ahead its City Hall where the Office of the Local City Officials, the Mayor and Vice Mayor’s Office could be found. Glancing to its façade, gives you an authoritative type of building, yet, entering its prestigious halls gives an opposite ambiance of a very hospitable and nature acquainted City Hall.

          Ang Panubli-on, a Hiligaynon term meaning guardian of precious things is the official name of The Roxas City Museum, said to be a water tank turned to a museum, was built in 1910. Memorabilia’s of well-known sons and daughters of Roxas City, collections of religious icons, artifacts and artworks are well preserved.

          The Provincial Capitol, where all Government and Provincial Offices could be found. Among them is the Governor’s Office and all province wide governing bodies in the Province of Capiz. Built a long years ago, the Provincial Capitol stood over years and had served the Capizeño’s all throughout the years. A simple but nevertheless elegant physique with its modernized yet old type of structural design gives a classy look of the building. Inside, a souvenir store could also be found that sells and showcases local quality and artistic products of Roxas City, Capiz as souvenirs and remembrance of the humble City.

          These three structures are just a few of its landmarks that make up and give identity to the City of Roxas and the Captivating Capiz. All situated at the heart of the city, the main attraction of the place that rendered a significant role to the City people. The center area that has a very inviting atmosphere that’s enticing to explore and stroll by. Giving a great pleasure to its entire visitor’s, the public plaza provides a place of relaxation, fun and bonding while enjoying the beautiful views of the plaza. The City that has once been the Cleanest and Greenest City in Western Visayas as well as to the whole Philippines, visiting the place would be one way of being acquainted with nature for it offers an ambiance of rest and recreation.

          Obviously, Roxas City is but a simple place, yet, it is something that every Capizeño’s are truly proud of. Reflecting the City’s simple and humble way of living yet emblazoned with strong characteristic, the City shows an optimistic way of aiming a more productive Roxas City, and a more Captivating Province of Capiz for all the years to come.

          We usually notice them walking and begging on the side of the streets asking for just a whit of kindness from all the people passing them by. Trying to beg for a little penny and left over food to fill-in their hungry stomach.
          Aetas or “Ati” as they were called in the local Hiligaynon dialect. Those dark-skinned with curly hair nomads who had tried their luck and choose to live in the City. Wandering from place to place, trying to find a place where they could at least have a shelter to protect them from cold nights and might as well make them forget of the unfairness of life and repose for a while.
          No one really has the exact explanation on how and where did these people came from. But as what the majority says, they came from the mountains that had walked their way to seek their fate in the City. Everyday is an endless day of dreaming and hoping that that time will come, they would eventually live a life they longed to experience. Cheering over and sharing those small amounts of residue given by the few people who is in some ways had been touched by these wanderers situation.
          These people were the aborigines of the Philippines who had once been a legend. But then, the history came to be so silent that even others are not aware of such fact that they were our own ancestors and once been a part of the country’s history. Their existence had been slowly ignored and would soon be just like a usual view for the heartless people surrounding them.
          They are also creatures of God who longed nothing but love and acceptance from others. But because of the usual judgments and repugnance of the people around them, they were forced to live their lives as it is, giving them no chance to feel such freedom. No matter what others may look at them, brought about by the wrong impressions, still, they ought to feel the kindness and love of their neighbor. That time will soon come, they could live blissfully in a place where they are openly accepted and treated the same way with others.

          We always look at being intimidated in a negative way. Having a feeling of discomfort towards a person and being timid in such a way discourages or deter us from acting or expressing ourselves.
          During my high school life, we have this teacher who makes me feel uneasy whenever she’s around. Sometimes, it’s hard for me to express my self because I’m afraid I might commit such mistake. “She seems strict”…that’s always the usual impression of every student in school. Her antagonistic and disciplinarian aura makes every student behave like saints.
But as a student, I could fathom the reason of her being strict to her students. As a teacher, you are no doubt responsible of teaching and helping your students to become proud and dignified citizens of the world and be equipped with knowledge and wisdom to face life’s trials. That’s why; it’s natural for them to act strict for the purpose of disciplining their students. We are usually not aware of that fact because we look at it in a different way. Misconception is what we could define it.
         As for me, she has been undeniably intimidating at times but, it’s clearly for my own benefit. Actually, I owe it to her because in some ways, she had been a great help for me to gain courage and stand for what is my own view, be disciplined and learn to obey the rules being imposed.
Timidity and being discourage is inevitable but. As we look at the positive side, it’s really for our own sake.

Beautiful sceneries of beaches, water falls, rivers and lakes are just some of the evidences that we are truly fortunate in receiving God’s abundant gifts. Composed of over 7,100 Islands, Philippine archipelago possess a delightful and picturesque wonders both hidden and famous ones.

Its fascinating and sparkling bodies of water that continues to amaze its visitors and beholders is truly worth to be proud of. World renowned wonders like the Boracay beach, elegant Pagsanjan Falls, the picturesque hundred islands at Pangasinan and the magnificent Ma. Cristina Falls in Mindanao are just a few of its one of a kind natural wonders that one could never forget. Philippines —– place not just near but surrounded by water and is endowed of marine treasures that brings pride to our country. Indeed! A true beauty and spectacle to behold.

Carnival rides are typical attractions on amusement parts and carnivals. It is one of the reasons why a lot of visitors are fond of visiting along, usually for the purpose of fun and enjoyment.

When I was still a child, I had an experience of riding one. Specifically, I couldn’t remember the exact day, but one thing that I’m sure of is that, I have enjoyed every moment while I was riding a Ferris  wheel. I was accompanied by my aunt, and we both had a wonderful time together. The fact  that I was still a child did not deter my likeness to ride. As a person who loves adventures, I  really love the feeling of thrill and excitement. Though as a child, that kind of thought wasn’t  that clear to me at all. And I was very glad of having enjoyed riding it. For others, of course,  it’s just some kind of “nothing”, but because I was just a child, I was pleased with my  experience.

Music makes the world go round. It seeks to relieve stress or negative aura to lighten up one’s day. Listening to music can be an effective way of building unity to people. It gives life to a worried soul and reveals one emotion as we dare to listen to the sound of music. It’s sometimes the voice of a silent mind, a reflection of one’s character and the courage of one’s heart to bring out a message of love for someone.

          As an avid fan of music, I obviously love listening to it at all times. At times, it’s good to have a break and listen to music for it can sometimes bring a feeling of relaxation and ease in me. It’s where I could find peace of mind and repose for a white. Music indeed plays a significant role in our lives. Though sometimes, others may not be aware of such fact. Music has a lot of usage for me. Times that I needed to concentrate on my studies, a relaxing habit, setting up a mood, giving me strength, life and energy to face another day of my story, music is always my company. Sometimes, it serves as my inspiration and my way of realizing thing sand situations.

          Life without music would undoubtedly be boring. To reckon with, there are no melodies to listen which are most pleasing to hear, no life for a tough, day, and no more chance of shouting out those hidden emotions.

            As creatures of God, we were fortunate to be given such intellect for us to be able to imagine, plan, and dream of what we wanted to happen in our lives. Dreaming is simply imagining things that we wish and hope to happen in our future. Occasionally, dreams may give us the strength to go on with our lives, and in the other way, encourage us to outdo all the difficulties and trials we may encounter.

          Dreams may be just a fantasy or a reverie, but there are those and mostly who dream something attainable, measurable and realistic. We can be whoever we wanted to be or live in place we dreamed to live. All of this is just some of the usual dreams that a typical individual wishes to happen. Moreover, this wishes and dreams can certainly satisfy and eventually fulfill us as an individual. Whatever desire we may have in our selves, surely, this could likely bring us satisfaction we longed to achieve.

          Our imagination is the only limit when we dream. Being an ordinary individual, I dream a lot of things when it comes to my future. Some of those are my greatest fantasies I do hope would happen. Daydreaming of the place I wanted to visit and eventually live in it is just one of my reveries in life.

          A place where I can be acquainted and be as one with our Mother Nature. Where everyday is a good day, the sun is shining brightly and blue skies fill the heaven. Green grass surrounds the ground with lots of flowers of different kinds and colors that adds up to the refreshing, relaxing and blooming breeze of the sun. Trees are swaying as the whistling wind happily dances with them. Butterflies of different kinds share the same felicity with me in my dreamed paradise while singing melodies that are most pleasing to hear. With my humble home near water, a fully furnished yet simple and humble house. A perfect picture of my own family, happily and contented with each others company with the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Places were doubts, stress and hardships is nowhere to be found. Just like the place that once served as a haven for Adam and Eve. A truly captivating paradise.

          When we talk of valuing things, it’s surely something that we possess which certainly has worth for us. They consider it as a highly priced property that has both objective and subjective significance for those who possess it. Usually, it is something that is utmost valuable, that nothing can replace such thing. This may be of a life form, a non-living thing, souvenirs, photos, or anything we may consider as our priced possession.

          As a person who loves to keep and treasure things that will somehow remind me of every memories of my life, considers all my teenage life souvenirs as my priced possession. Some may consider it as scrap, but they mean a lot to me. Secret note, photos, school projects, gifts from friends, remembrances, even test papers and scratch papers, are just some of my property I value the most. Memories of my teenage life are one of the best parts of my life’s story. I care and love my friends so much because they have been my second family at times that I am not with my family. People I have been destined to meet and had treated me as special as they are to me.

          That is why, every thing that might somehow remind me and would make me reminisce of all the times I have spent with my friends are of great value to me. I treasure and keep them constantly so that I can look after it from time to time. Every time I miss all the people I have been acquainted with and shared half of my life’s journey, I always tried to muse over from all those things that remind me of them. No matter how often I look at them, I still smile every time I miss them.
